We know how frustrating slow internet speeds can be. So we put together a guide encompassing common factors in speed degradation, troubleshooting steps to accurately see how much bandwidth is available to you, and more. It also addresses common issues that can affect wireless devices.
1. Attach the antenna paddles to the ports labeled MAIN and DIV/AUX, located at each end on the back of the router.
2. Fold the paddles up.
3. Plug the adapter into the back port labeled DC.
4. Plug the other end into the power outlet.
5. Push the large black button next to the antenna port to power on.
6. Wait one to two minutes while the router is connecting to the tower. During this part of the process you will see several colored lights across the front of the router. When the router is fully connected to the internet, you should see four green lights.
7. Once you see four green lights, the router has an internet connection and is ready to be connected to devices.
8. If the green lights do not come on, restart the router by pushing the square power button located on the back of the router.
1. The network name will be “BEC,” followed by the last three characters of your “MAC” (located on the bottom of your router). Example: BEC B23
2. The password is located on the bottom of your router under “WI-FI KEY.” All letters will need to be capitalized when entering the password into the device for your router to connect.
